The Cubs and Expos shared more than just the field on July 12, 1995. Mark Grace flew to Montreal fresh off the All-Star Game, but his luggage didn’t make the trip. With no uniform and no glove, the Cubs' equipment manager assembled a patchwork uniform while Grace and Expos first baseman David Segui figured out the “no glove” challenge. The two took turns using Segui’s glove, leaving it on first base for each other between innings. It was an unscripted moment of sportsmanship and sandlot charm in the middle of a playoff chase.
