In February 1968, the White Sox sent Ron Hansen to the Senators for Tim Cullen. On August 2, the clubs reversed course, sending Hansen back to Chicago and Cullen to Washington. The unusual exchange made them the first players in MLB history to be traded for each other twice in the same season.
