One night, one performance, and another reminder that time never caught him.

On June 12, 1990, 43-year-old Nolan Ryan delivered the sixth no-hitter of his Hall of Fame career, shutting down Oakland in a 5–0 Rangers win. The milestone extended his own MLB record and made him the first pitcher to throw no-hitters for three different teams. Long past the age when most pitchers are retired, Ryan showed that his fastball — and his edge — were still very much intact.
