When the Dodgers and Cubs met on September 9, 1965, Dodgers starter Sandy Koufax already had three no-hitters to his name. Cubs starter Bob Hendley had just been called up from the minors. A remarkable pitchers duel transpired and when the dust settled, Koufax had a perfect game for his record fourth no-hitter. Hendley had a no-hitter going through seven innings and in the end surrendered only one hit and one walk — a career game for many pitchers, but not quite enough on this day.
