On July 29, 1995, the Royals and Tigers went 16 innings in a small-ball marathon, as Kansas City collected 21 singles without an extra-base hit. Finally, in the bottom of the 16th, Joe Nunnally connected for the Royals’ only extra-base hit of the night — a walk-off home run delivering a 5-4 win for the Kansas City faithful.
