Tim Wakefield’s knuckleball proved elusive to not only batters, but to catchers too. After the Red Sox completed a trade hours before a game with the archrival Yankees, newly-acquired catcher Doug Mirabelli got a police escort from the airport, changed into his uniform in the car, and got to Fenway Park 13 minutes before game time.
