.Game 3 of the 2018 World Series between the Dodgers and Red Sox became the longest Fall Classic game ever — 18 innings and 7 hours, 20 minutes of baseball drama. It lasted 15 minutes longer than the entire 1939 World Series. Jackie Bradley Jr. tied it with a homer in the 8th, Cody Bellinger kept it alive with a clutch throw in the 10th, and both teams traded runs on errors in the 13th. Finally, on the 561st pitch of the night, Max Muncy launched a walk-off homer to end the marathon and send exhausted fans home in the wee hours.
