Since the inaugural game in 1933, the All-Star game has fostered a rivalry between the National and American leagues. With numerous future Hall of Famers playing on both sides in the 1961 game held at Fenway Park in Boston, the teams battled to a score of 1-1 after 9 innings… and then the rains came, along with the decision to call the game a tie.
