Orioles’ Earl Weaver and Rangers’ Frank Lucchesi each got ejected early, but Weaver wasn’t done yet.
On August 15, 1975, the Orioles and Rangers met for a doubleheader that quickly turned combustible. Rangers manager Frank Lucchesi didn’t even make it out of the top of the first inning before being tossed by second base umpire Armando Rodriguez. Orioles skipper Earl Weaver followed in the fourth, erupting after a call didn’t go his way. But Weaver wasn’t finished — before Game 2 even began, he reignited the argument with Luciano and got ejected again before handing over the lineup card. Baltimore fans got two games that night — and three ejections for the price of one.
